01學院介紹

清華大學環境學科可追溯至國立清華大學于1928年設立的市政工程系，1977年建立我國第一個環境工程專業，1984年批準組建獨立建制的環境工程系，1997年發展為環境科學與工程系，2011年成立環境學院。在我國環境工程學科奠基人陶葆楷先生和幾代清華環境人努力下，持續保持國內領先優勢，國際影響力不斷攀升，連續五年QS學科排名進入世界前十，成為環境領域重要的高層次人才培養基地和高水平科學研究中心。

近年來，環境學院牽頭建設區域與流域生態環境安全重點實驗室、空地一體環境感知與智能響應研究平臺(區域復合污染控制、跨介質大科學裝置)、清華蘇州環境創新研究院(高新科技產業化)等重要科研基地，為學院教師面向國家重大需求和世界前沿研究提供理想平臺。

為更好地適應學科發展新形勢和人才培養新需求，為建設清潔美麗世界、推動構建人類命運共同體貢獻更多中國智慧和中國方案，2024年學院新設環境健康教研所和環境可持續性教研所，現面向全球公開誠聘學科帶頭人。

03 Job Description

SOE invites applications for full-time, tenure-track or tenured faculty positions at Full Professor level. The appointments are expected to begin on January, 2025 or thereafter.

The faculty search aligns with the strategic directions of the SOE and recognition of the need for addressing critical societal challenges facing the environment and sustainability. Applicants are expected to have demonstrated excellence in research, teaching, and professional development. The successful candidates will be expected to develop and maintain an innovative and independent research with international reputation and external funding support. The candidates will also be involved in undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring to support the SOE’s education mission.

Applicants for Full Professor positions are expected to be global leaders in their respective fields. Successful candidates will develop and lead internationally recognized research programs aligning with one or more of the SOE’s strategic directions.

04 Qualifications

Candidates must have a PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering or a related field at date of hire.

Fluent in Chinese is NOT a prerequisite. All research, teaching, and service activities can be conducted in English.

We seek ideal candidates who have the commitment and capacity to stay at the research forefront or who are emerging as the most influential figures in their fields.
